  • Route: Start at Lake Ann Dam, there is parking on the dam and along the roadway.
    • Head west across the bridge. Stop for a photograph.
    • Follow the Back 40 trail west to hwy 71 where the trail turns north.
    • Follow the Back 40 trail west to hwy 71 where the trail turns north.
    • There is a short side trail here that takes you to a vista overlook.
    • Follow the Back 40 north to the Lancashire Dr crossing by the Library
    • The Back 40 turn Northeast after crossing Lancashire Dr.
    • There is a short side trail here that takes you to a vista overlook.
  • If you stop that Northeast corner of Bella Vista Community Church, you have covered 1.7 miles If you finish that Newquay Ln, you have covered 2.2 miles; this takes under an hour. This route has a 213-foot climb from the dam to the Church parking lot.

  • Rating: It is rated has a blue square medium rating. Elevation: gain 250 feet.
  • Distance: It is a pleasant walk of 2.2 miles. It took about 1 hour.
  • Parking: There is parking on Lake Ann Dam, and there is a large parking lot at Bella Vista Community Church and off-street parking along Newquay Ln.
  • Notes: This walk starts at scenic Lake Ann Dam, the first stop is across the road at the new bridge overlooking the Lake Ann spillway waterfalls. These falls are one of most photograph places in Bella Vista. The first ½ mile is beautiful to walk above Pinyon Creek to HWY 71. There are some magnificent vistas of Bella Vista's golf course and valley to the South. There is a short side trail to overlook the highway. The next ½ mile this steady, moderate climb to Lancashire Dr. It is a real glute burner. Thankfully there are several lovely views along the way that require you to stop and take in the scenery. The trail follows Lancashire Dr. East for mile and quarter. There is a large parking lot at Bella Vista Community Church and off-street parking along Newquay Ln.
